Why This Korean Engineer Dad Started a Blog
A 30-something engineer and dad living in Seoul shares why he started blogging about AI, gadgets, and Korean culture.
Hi there. I'm Tech Papa.
I'm a 30-something software engineer living in Seoul, South Korea, and a dad in the middle of the beautiful chaos of raising kids. Starting today, I'll be sharing my thoughts and experiences on AI tools, gadgets, and Korean culture through this blog.

Why Start a Blog?
As someone who works in tech and uses AI tools every day, I've realized there's so much to share — practical tips, honest reviews, and cultural insights that might be useful or interesting to people around the world.
Living in Seoul gives me a unique vantage point. Korea is at the forefront of technology adoption, from blazing-fast internet to a nearly cashless society. At the same time, it's a country rich in traditions and cultural quirks that I think more people should know about.
I wanted a space to bring all of that together, and a blog felt like the right way to do it.
Life as an Engineer Dad
By day, I work at an IT company handling development and marketing. Through my work, I've had the chance to explore a wide range of AI tools, and I've seen firsthand how they're transforming the way we work.
At home, I'm a hands-on dad, and life is gloriously hectic. Balancing parenting with learning new things is genuinely tough. But I believe that even an hour or two a day adds up over time.
What You'll Find Here
I'll be writing about three main themes:

-
Gadgets — Reviews of the tech products I actually use in Korea, from smartphones to tablets to wearable devices.
-
Korean Culture — What daily life is really like in Seoul, the things that surprise visitors, and cultural traditions you might not know about.
